October 6, 2026 · Amp models at any sample rate, portable kits and a sturdier engine

Amp models play at their own sample rate, kits keep their samples wherever they go, and ANVIL is lighter and more robust.

New

• Amp models made at a different sample rate now play at their own rate. ANVIL converts the NAM bus to the model’s rate and back, and tells your DAW about the short delay (about 1 ms) so every output stays in time.
• Kits keep their samples when you move or share the kit folder. Kits saved in 1.2.0 still open in older versions.
• ADSR: the release now starts when the MIDI note ends.
• NAM engine updated to NeuralAmpModelerCore 0.6.0. Your amp models sound exactly the same.
• Third-party license notices are installed with ANVIL.

Improved

• Dragging a pad onto another now swaps the two pads, and each keeps all its sounds and settings. Each pad position keeps its MIDI note.
• Hits land on their exact sample instead of the start of the audio block, so timing stays tight at any buffer size.
• NORM now works: it brings each amp model to a consistent loudness, using the level stored in the model.
• The Standalone remembers its Settings between launches.
• DAWs list ANVIL as a drum instrument. Rescan your plugins to see it there.
• Lighter on your system: each ANVIL instance starts 1 background thread instead of 18.
• The kit list shows every kit, including two with the same name, and the arrow keys open the list instead of loading each kit in turn.
• NEW kit resets the amp and the pad colours, and keeps each pad’s output routing.
• In FL Studio, the selected pad and tab stay put when the plugin window reopens.
• Linked pads in the same choke group now play together.
• The installer is more robust and installs into the standard Windows folders.

Fixed

• Damaged or unusual files (samples, kits and amp models) can no longer crash ANVIL or your DAW.
• A broken amp model can no longer send invalid audio to your DAW. ANVIL silences only the affected moment.
• A kit saved with NAM on now plays through the amp even if you had switched NAM off before opening it.
• MIDI notes are no longer dropped while a kit loads.
• Adding a sample as a layer no longer overwrites one of the pad’s sounds.
• When a kit has missing samples, finding them later puts each one back in the right slot, even after you replace, clear or reorder a pad’s sounds.
• An amp model that fails to load is no longer saved into the kit, and a kit whose amp model fails to load no longer keeps the previous kit’s model playing.
• The master section is restored with your DAW project.
• A metronome left on in the Standalone no longer clicks in every plugin instance.
• Activating or deactivating your license is seen by every open instance, and pasting a license key takes just the key.
• Master output on a disabled aux bus no longer silences pads.
• Loading a kit that lists fewer pads clears the pads it doesn’t list.
• A kit that can’t be read now shows a message.
• The master filters stay stable at low sample rates.
• A recording that can’t start no longer deletes your previous take.
• The installer’s license viewer no longer hides the end of each line.
• The Settings tab shows the sample rate and buffer size ANVIL is actually running at.
• The EQ graph now shows the curve you hear at every sample rate, not only at 44.1 kHz.

Record a performance directly in Standalone and export the take as an audio file.

Recording & tempo

• Arm a take with REC and finish with STOP.
• Choose a metronome count-in or begin recording on the first pad hit.
• Capture the master output, including pad layers and effects.
• Adjust tempo by dragging, scrolling or entering a value.

Export

• WAV at 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit float, and FLAC at 16-bit or 24-bit.
• Optional silence trimming and TPDF dithering.
• A remembered export folder.
• The metronome click stays out of the file.

Other improvements

• Header output meter, with a visibility setting.
• PANIC control to silence playback and finalize a recording.
• Recording defaults for start mode, count-in length and export folder.
• Updated pad controls and a larger NAM routing grid.

October 8, 2026 · Delete or quarantine on every uninstall, real plugin versions and safer cleanup

Every uninstall now lets you choose between quarantine and permanent delete, the Version column shows what you actually have installed, and cleanup is far more careful about what it touches.

New

• Every uninstall lets you choose: quarantine the leftover files, which you can restore from Backups → Quarantine, or delete them permanently after one more confirmation. This includes removing several plugins at once and removing only one format.
• Leftover files are grouped by kind (plugin files, DAW data, DAW caches and name matches to check), one line per file. Hover a line to see its full path.
• A search box on the Dashboard: type a plugin name and press Enter to see it in your Plugins list.
• A category you chose yourself can be undone: “Use default” brings back FETCH’s automatic category, for one plugin or a whole selection.
• FETCH recognises 2,842 more plugins, so more of your plugins get a maker, and often a category, filled in automatically.
• Third-party license notices are installed with FETCH.

Improved

• The Version column shows the version you actually have installed, and an updated plugin shows its new version after the next scan.
• Support files that are not plugins, such as Serato Sample’s tensorflow libraries and iZotope’s engine files, are no longer listed as VST2 plugins.
• “Search for Uninstaller” only offers the uninstaller for the exact product you are removing, never a whole bundle or a similarly named product.
• Restoring a backup over an installed plugin asks first, then replaces it cleanly. Restoring from quarantine never overwrites a plugin you have reinstalled since.
• The uninstall steps show what really happened, including a step that was skipped, found nothing or did not finish. Hover over a step for details.
• More accurate default categories for about 95 plugins, such as kiloHearts Ring Mod and Plugin Alliance bx_oberhausen. Categories you set yourself always take priority.
• The Dashboard’s Largest Plugins list shows each plugin’s format as a coloured tag.
• On a narrow window, the Plugins list keeps names visible and scrolls sideways.
• Messages stay on screen for about 8 seconds, and any message closes when you click it.
• Backups and Quarantine show small files at their real size, and an uninstall’s file count in Quarantine matches its size.
• Restoring from Backups or Quarantine shows “Restoring…” until it finishes.
• “Remove from scan” on a default plugin folder now really stops scanning it.

Fixed

• Cleanup never touches shared or system folders (Program Files, whole plugin folders, your user and AppData folders, a DAW’s own data folder) or your projects, songs and templates.
• The leftover scan no longer lists your other installed plugins: removing “Limit” no longer lists every “Limiter”.
• A restore checks that every file came back before it removes the quarantined copy. An incomplete restore is undone.
• Backing up a plugin’s license and settings files only includes folders that belong to that plugin or its maker.
• Plugins with curly apostrophes or accented letters in their names, such as “Rock’n’Roll Delay” or “Café”, can be removed and restored, and show their version and maker.
• “Run Uninstaller” works for uninstallers registered without quotes around a path with spaces.
• Ghost Scan only lists entries whose plugin files are all gone.
• Declining the administrator prompt during a quarantine no longer leaves copies of the files that stay installed in quarantine.
• After removing a plugin from Program Files, its company folder is removed too once it is empty.
• History records an uninstall only once the plugin is really gone, and only once.
• Links open only web pages and email, and update downloads use secure links.
