Who We Are
Stones Audio is operated by Aaron Stoehner. We create professional music production software, currently ANVIL (a 16-pad drum sampler) and FETCH (an all-in-one plugin tool and manager), and sell them through this website.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the stonesaudio.com website and through purchases of our software products. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we may link to.
Information We Collect
Website visitors
This website does not load Google Analytics or advertising trackers. Cart selections are saved in your browser so they remain available when you return. Every page loads Lemon Squeezy's checkout script, so Lemon Squeezy receives standard connection details, such as your IP address and browser type, when you visit. Our host, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs. Both are described below.
Customers
When you purchase a product, Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, collects your name, email address, billing country, and payment information. We receive your purchase details so we can provide your software and support. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, license-key delivery and download access. Your full payment card details are handled by the checkout provider and do not pass through this website.
Update signups
If you sign up for updates on this website, we collect the email address you enter, the time you signed up and which form you used. This is sent to a Google Apps Script and stored in a Google Sheets spreadsheet kept by Stones Audio. Signing up is optional and is not needed to buy or use our products.
Software users
ANVIL and FETCH run on your computer. License activation and deactivation use Lemon Squeezy. Checking for updates contacts the update service. See the license and activation documentation and update instructions for these workflows.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- License delivery, to send you your license key, download link, and purchase receipt after a completed transaction.
- Customer support, to respond to questions or issues you contact us about.
- Product updates, to email release news and announcements about ANVIL, FETCH and future products, only if you signed up. Email support@stonesaudio.com at any time to be removed.
- Legal and accounting obligations, to maintain purchase records as required by applicable tax and accounting law.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.
Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:
- Lemon Squeezy, our primary payment processor and storefront. Handles payment collection, tax calculation, and digital delivery. Subject to the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy.
- Google, whose Apps Script and Sheets services receive and store update signups. Subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and the update service that ANVIL and FETCH check, and keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, pages requested and browser type. Subject to the Hostinger Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Data shared with the services above is limited to what is necessary to run this website, complete your purchase, deliver your software, provide support and send updates you signed up for.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary:
- Purchase records, retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years).
- Support communications, retained for as long as the correspondence is reasonably needed for follow-up, then deleted.
- Cart selections, retained in your browser until you remove them or clear the site's local storage.
- Update signups, retained until you ask to be removed, then deleted from the list.
Your Rights: EU & UK (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:
- Right of access, you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification, you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure, you may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it.
- Right to data portability, you may request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Right to object, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to lodge a complaint, you have the right to file a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your national DPA in the EU).
Our lawful basis for processing purchase data is contract performance. Our lawful basis for update emails is consent, which you give by signing up.

Your Rights: California (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights:
- Right to know, you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our business purpose, and which third parties we share it with.
- Right to delete, you may request that we delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal obligations).
- Right to opt out of sale, we do not sell your personal information. You do not need to opt out, but you have this right regardless.
- Right to non-discrimination, we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the above rights.

Children's Privacy
stonesaudio.com and our software products are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@stonesaudio.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Continued use of stonesaudio.com or our products after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
